Aggression Management for Nurses and Health Support Workers

Are you in healthcare or similar industry looking for ways to deal with aggression management?

Workers' compensation figures show that nearly half the workplace assaults in Western Australia were in the health and community services industry. Client-initiated occupational violence is of particular concern and can involve a person in the care of an organisation or someone seeking a service. This can occur in industries such as hospitality, health, disability, education, emergency services, police, prisons and welfare and community services.

Aggression and violence in health care settings is becoming a serious source of anxiety, stress and distress for staff who are victimised.

This course provides you with prevention strategies, physical and psychological self-defence manoeuvres to respond individually or as a team in the management of aggression. This builds and instils confidence and awareness.  This enhances the need for the carer to be up-to-date with the strategies to prevent and manage aggression and provide the client with safe and better quality of care.
