Poor manual handling techniques is a major cause of injuries in the workplace. This translates into a massive human cost, compensation cost and loss of productivity. On completion of this course participants will gain an understanding of the legal requirements for manual handling, apply sound manual handling techniques and performance of the four stage approach.

Assessment Methods:
Participation in class discussions, oral questions, pre test, post test, practical assessment and observation on correct manual handling techniques.
