Mr Bijo Kunnumpurath

Bijo Kunnumpurath is the Founder Director of Health Careers International – one of the leading global providers of healthcare education and research. An Indian-born citizen of Australia, he is the Managing Director of the Institute of Health and Nursing Australia (IHNA). In this capacity, he implements the vision of the organization on a global scale, providing the way forward in overseeing systems, and ensuring compliance with legal / statutory obligations. He is also adept in implementing policies in risk management and quality assurance.
Bijo has been well recognized as an accomplished entrepreneur with remarkable business acumen. He has proven this time and again by integrating skills from several business backgrounds to bring about a proactive approach in business development, innovation, change management and governance, particularly in the education and training sectors.
Bijo holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a qualification in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a member of GAICD (Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors). Having worked extensively worldwide, he is held in high esteem as a notable socially-responsible personality in diverse communities across Australia, Malaysia and India. Believing in the value of continuous learning, Bijo is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Swinburne University, in the field of good governance in private education.
Professor Antony Jacobson
Prof. Antony Jacobson is a leading authority, key note presenter and globally experienced professional in entrepreneurship, innovation, global business development and expansion. Well known as a highly successful innovator and entrepreneur, he has forged important connections with the world’s leading innovation institutions, Fortune 500 companies, leading venture capital firms, incubators and start-ups.
As a highly qualified academic, he holds a Master of Commerce (International Business) and Graduate Certificate Higher Education-Teaching and Learning.
His deep passion for innovation has led to significant experience in commercializing and seed funding new ventures, concepts and research breakthroughs. As an experienced teacher, he has held posts as the Professor of Practice-Entrepreneurship and was Professor of Practice in residence at the prestigious La Trobe University Business School Melbourne Australia. Earlier this year in April 2018, Prof. Antony was appointed Deans Fellow and Visiting Scholar on Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the world-renowned Hebrew University Jerusalem, Israel.
Dr. Chandana Hewege
Well respected in his field of expertise, Dr. Chandana Hewege holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Monash University, a Master of Business Administration Degree and B.Sc. in Business Administration Honours from the University of Sri J’pura, Sri Lanka. During his illustrious career, his academic and professional experiences have been primarily focussed on teaching, research and industry consultancy and he has published around 45 referred research papers and referred conference papers. Dr Hewege has worked on a wide spectrum of research areas such as corporate social responsibility, management controls of transitional economies, marketing, logistics, international business and research methodology.
His interest in education prompted him to get accredited as a teacher in higher education by the Staff Education and Development Association, United Kingdom (SEDA, UK) and he has close to 20 years of teaching experience (undergraduate and postgraduate, local as well as overseas). He has been richly recognized for his academic and research excellence, and has received many awards that include the best critical literature review award, Department of Management, Monash University; Emerald Literati Award-Social Responsibility Journal 2017; the Teaching Excellence Award by the Faculty of Business & Law, Swinburne University of Technology: the best reviewer 2007 award, Contemporary Management Research Journal; and the best student Gold Medal award, Department of Business Administration, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. Chandana served the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) journal ranking panel in 2013 for Marketing, Tourism, Logistics and commercial services research areas.
Ms Helena Steel
Helena Steel is a highly experienced Human Resources Executive, Executive Coach, Career Practitioner, University Lecturer, Facilitator and Consultant, with considerable organisational change experience. Previously working as a General Manager Human Resources and National HR Manager, she has amassed international work experience across several sectors including the IT industry, Sales, Service, Airlines, Victorian Public Service, Call Centre’s, Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing and the Insurance industry. Helena is an experienced Non-Executive Director in both the Education, and Professional Services areas and has delivered and designed lectures and tutorials sessions that were well received, at both Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels. She is a Fellow (FAHRI) of the Australian Human Resources Institute, a previous AHRI Victorian President and a Professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA).
