Introduction

This Manual Handling Nursing Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to perform tasks involving manual handling tasks safely to avoid injury to self and others.

Poor manual handling techniques is a major cause of injuries in the workplace. This translates into a massive human cost, compensation cost and loss of productivity. On completion of this course participants will gain an understanding of the legal requirements for manual handling, apply sound manual handling techniques and performance of the four stage approach.
