This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to provide a level of medical care for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital.
Theory and Practical Assessment.
What makes up the emergency team, Indications of BLS, Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Defibrillation, Safety measures, individual responsibilities and common complications.
Assessment of victim in cardio-pulmonary arrest situation, Implementing appropriate BLS interventions, Preparation of victim and environment for effective resuscitation, Problem solving particular aspects.
Class discussion, oral questioning, practical assessment and observation of correct BLS techniques.
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
Everyone working in Aged Care, Home and Community sector, Disability service sector, the Acute setting or another health related discipline.
