Help Year 12 Students Prepare for the Next Step

It can be confusing to choose the right career path at after finishing your year 12 education, we will explain to you the qualifications that we provide and help you understand its benefits.

Here are common terms that you will hear or read sometime in your life, there are 10 levels of qualifications in Australia starting from Level 1 which is Certificate I, and it goes all the way up to Level 10 which is Doctoral Degree:

Level 1 – Certificate I: This level is generally for those who wish to study the basic knowledge and skills you need to enter any field of work. If you wish to further your education, or want to start from something higher, you can choose to study level II.

Level 2 – Certificate II: This level qualified you to undertake certain routines at work, and it can offer you a pathway to further learning.

Level 3 – Certificate III: Level III has a broader range of skills and knowledge from its previous level, as it offers you the chance to undertake some skilled work and it offers gives you a pathway to further your education higher.

Level 4 – Certificate IV: Certificate IV or 4 offers you in-depth learning of the main skills and knowledge which will enable you to handle more roles and responsibilities under supervision at work.

Level 5 – Diploma: This level qualifies individuals who apply integrated technical and theoretical concepts in a broad range of contexts to undertake advanced skilled, or paraprofessional work and as a pathway for further learning.

Successfully completing the Diploma of Nursing, will help graduates start a career in Nursing as an Enrolled Nurse. You will be able to work within any healthcare setting such as Hospitals, clinics, aged care and disability care centres. Becoming a Nurse is considered to be one of the most rewarding careers, you will be helping patients and provide them with the care and support they need to help them overcome their sickness or disability.

Duration: 24 Months

The Next Step:

You will also be able to further your education to bachelors and masters through our articulate pathways with major universities in Australia like Edith Cowan and La Trobe University.

Successfully completing the Diploma of Practice Management, will help graduates start a career as a Practice Manager who can manage the operation of small to medium sized health practices. Practice Managers will oversee the operations and promotion of medical, dental and health clinics.

Duration: 12 Months

Successfully completing the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, will help graduates start a career as a Childcare Educator within Early Childcare centres. If you have a patient to provide education and care to children and help them prepare and get equipped with the skills they need to have a thriving future, then Diploma of ECEC is the right course for you.

Duration: 24 Months

The Next Step:

Graduates may have the chance to further their education with universities in Australia to Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Bachelor of Education (Primary).

As we mentioned above, studying any Certificate III or IV can provide you with the foundation skills and knowledge to enter the workplace. In addition to, work placements, and learning on the job to prepare you to become confident for your future position.

Duration: Between 3 Months – 6 months

The Next Step:

Upon completing your Certificate III or IV, you may be able to further your study to Diploma, or in some cases studying Certificate IV may give you the chance to further your education to Bachelors with some universities.
