IS002 – Support Activities of daily living

Health Science Skillset

Introduction

The participants in this course will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and comprehend the major body systems and the functions they perform, while also developing an awareness of the specific health requirements of those who are disabled or elderly. It is important to respect the autonomy and choices of people who are receiving support, regardless of their age, disability, or health situation. This will help to promote and encourage the empowerment of those individuals. Work effectively in settings that provide care for the elderly, palliative care, and disability assistance, delivering care that is centered on the individual and taking into account the various requirements and preferences of patients. Care services should be provided using a palliative strategy, with the goal of ensuring that patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses receive care that is compassionate, comprehensive, and of high quality, so improving their overall life quality.
